Rome bus transportation

We have been to Rome a number of times. Sometimes we get the ROMA pass, sometimes we just pay for the bus as we go, and sometimes we cab it. Now with Uber we have a fourth choice.

But, if we were to stick with bus in Rome, I have yet to figure this out and I hope there are a few of you who have.

We stay near Piazza Navona so we have lots of choices. When going Eastward, we usually end up on the 64 or 40 (are those the right numbers?). But each time, the bus seems to terminate at Piazza Venezia. The question is: How to continue further East, especially on ****onale or northerly to Villa Borghese? The buses queued up by Piazza Venezia just seem to sit forever.

Thanks!

Oh, that's interesting. Cruise Critic blocked out part of the name of one of the streets in Rome. Gee, it is only a combination of letters which mean nothing like what they stand for if they were set apart!:cool:

The wait at Piazza Venezia is more of a reset, getting the bus back on schedule, but they do continue on. Both the #40 (express bus) and the #64 (local) end at Termini.

#40 route: http://viaggiacon.atac.roma.it/?service=trovalinea&linea=40&percorso=40R

#64 route: http://viaggiacon.atac.roma.it/?service=trovalinea&linea=40&percorso=40R

By the way, Uber isn't much of a choice in Italy. It's a car service like any other (professional drivers, licensed and regulated vehicles) with commensurate pricing, the only difference is the app as a way to arrange it.

Thanks, Euro. It bothered us that EVERYONE got off including the driver at Venezia. I guess the passengers go to the front of line of buses? But you do not have to walk up to the main street to continue on????
