Seabiscuit66 Posted May 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2018 Does Princess ships have any casual dining options like Guy’s Burgers on Carnival? Like first lunch stop after boarding. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
capriccio Posted May 12, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2018 Yes they do. Check out the Princess website: https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/whats-included/#ondeck. For info on specific ships you can also check out the deck plans by ship: https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/ships/. Your best bet for first hand information would be to ask this question on the Princess Board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=197. Make sure to specify your ship. I can tell you that our routine is lunch in the Main Dining Room from noon to 1:30 pm on embarkation day assuming we are onboard early enough. Other alternatives are the International Cafe in the Piazza (on most Princess ships), Alfredo's pizza on the Royal class ships and some of the Grand class ships (but with a more limited menu), the buffet, plus the grill and pizza places on the Lido deck. These are all 'free' (included in your fare). Specialty dining options - which include a surcharge - are open in the evenings only.
cdngrl Posted May 12, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2018 i rarely get on early enough to do lunch in the main dining room but that's such a nice way to start the cruise! the buffet is usually really busy but i love the fruit selection. the grille on the lido is my go-to for a burger or jumbo hot dog and fries. oh, and the best part--your cabin is ready for you when you board. no schlepping your carry on around with you. anthonyy7 Posted May 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2018 Yes on Princess your cabin will be ready! What ship will you be on? The main lunch spots are MDR if board early or buffet and grill on the lido deck. The international cafe has light fare and not all ships have Alfredo’s. We were on the Ruby last week and wished they had Alfredo’s.
