Ft Lauderdale - Where to watch the ships leave?

We will be in Ft Lauderdale on a Saturday and would love to go somewhere to watch the ships leave that evening. What is your opinion of the best place to go?

You can go over by Points Of America Condo 2100 S Ocean Ln, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 on Fort Lauderdale Beach....there is public beach access there to the Beach right by the condo entrance and walk over to the jetty...great spot.

POINTS OF AMERICA. There is public metered street parking in the area...or park at Lago Mar, cut thru the hotel and walk down the beach. So close you can practically touch the ships.

Closest to the hotels on 17th Street is the viewing area at top of the bridge on the south side. You have a direct view at all the ships in Port Everglades as the boat parade sails out of port.

You can park in pay to park spots on S.Ocean Drive. There is a walkway to the beach there, short walk to the huge rock pile where the ships pass.
