Has anyone stayed here or does anyone have any opinion of this property?

It's a very nice "classic" hotel, directly on the beach. There's not a whole lot to walk to except condos and few other hotels if you don't have a car, but it's a great place to spend a quiet vacation on the beach.

Thank you for the info. We checked out Sobe Marriott on our way back to FLL in Dec05. Beautiful property! Not sure yet about how much we want to spend....After last cruise and staying @ Biscayne Bay for just a short while we're a bit confused. If we get delayed getting in again there is not much sense booking a property with a beach. In downtown we did take a cab around 6:30 to Bayside Marketplace but even the cab ride was scarey.

On the way back the drivers wanted a "longer" fare so we had a hard time getting back to hotel and watching these cabbies argue was a little frightening. The views were the best though as you had stated!

 

Thats why we are considering another location.

Also on our return we stopped at Las Palms for lunch! We loved the place and saw some of the boats that were in the Parade! I would love to find something around that area if we could.

South Beach is also a short cab ride from the pier. You can cab it to South Beach and walk everywhere.
