Driving tips for getting around the island?

we have a Jeep rental for a Wednesday in November at Cayman Auto Rental as they are close to port. Any tips or advice for getting around the island? Places we must see? And is parking at beaches free? Thanks.

Parking at any beaches is always free, yes.

They drive on the left. Beware of the traffic circles; they are unnerving until you are used to the driving differences.

Driving on the left (shoulder to the shoulder) has never been a problem for us, but with the driver seat on the left took some getting used to...GCM is very flat and the roads are in good condition, a small sedan is fine unless you need more space?

 

Would recommend Rum Point for your beach, having a vehicle gives you that option. Also a great spot for lunch, the grouper BLT is excellent. You can also rent jet skis there.
