How much do you normally tip for room service?

What do they expect?

We usually tipped a buck at breakfast because it was only one tray with coffee and juice. Any more than that, sandwiches, snack, more involved, it was always $2.

I usually cruise solo, and I tip $1 for coffee and Danish or croissant. If I order more items, I tip $2. I really don't think they expect over $2.:)

We gave them $2.00 anytime they brought something to us.

They act so happy when you give them a dollar or two, it leads me to think that alot of people don't tip at all.:(

That's sad if they don't. These people work for what we would consider a pittance. It's decent money in their country, but we can all affored a dollar or two if we're on a cruise.

Kittybork, I agree. I always overtip, but then I have never had poor service on a cruise. I'm so grateful to be waited on for a whole week!:)

I usually order only for one or two people and tip two dollars every time. If I were to order for more people I would consider tipping more based on the amount brought down (or up as the case may be). Obviously if there's four people in a room and they're all ordering something I can just imagine the weight of that tray (or even trays!).
