wenocancer2 Posted June 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Is the fair reduced for the third person in a cabin. I know it used to be, but on my quick search over my lunch break, that doesn't look like the case anymore.

firemanbobswife Posted June 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2018 The answer is not always yes. I have seen 3rd and even 4th person rates higher than the first 2 when triple/quad occupancy cabins are in high demand such as when kids are out of school. Sometimes you can be better off booking 2 cabins when this is the case.

The current booking system does average out the per passenger price to be as close to equal for all passengers in the same cabin. If you compare the 3/4 passengers in a certain category cabin booking total to the price for just 2 people in the same exact category you will see that the increase usually is not double or more (except in the circumstances mentioned by firemanbobswife). You have to search by ship/sail date to find your answer. High demand times for higher capacity cabins may not yield a discount for a 3rd/4th in a cabin that will accommodate them.
