Winnipeg Cruiser Posted January 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2006 Hello all, My family and I are going on a cruise through the Western Caribbean (Labadee, Jamaica, Grand Caymen and Cozumal) in February and I am wondering if it is necessary for us to get shots (of some kind.) I always hear of people going on the cruises but have never seen this topic brought up. Thanks for your help.
glgolfer Posted January 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2006 Shots are not required, but you should make sure your tetanus/diptheria booster is current. Also, some folks get the Hep A and B shots. Have a great time.

dhcoaster Posted January 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2006 Two shots and a beer always worked for me on the day of departure.
Sheffie Posted January 5, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2006 Hello all, My family and I are going on a cruise through the Western Caribbean (Labadee, Jamaica, Grand Caymen and Cozumal) in February and I am wondering if it is necessary for us to get shots (of some kind.) I always hear of people going on the cruises but have never seen this topic brought up. Thanks for your help. Due to a medical condition, I specifically asked my doctor about this and he told me that I needed nothing. One more thing you can cross off you do-I-have-to-do-it list!
