Bases5 Posted July 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2018 i was wondering if you book a room from one of the US online sites. Do they convert the cost to euro at the time of purches , Do I pay the difference when we arrive. Are the prices I’m seeing already converted? hkto Posted July 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2018 (edited) Expedia and Priceline - yes. But one never knows true price so I always check on aggerator sites like Trivago and Hotelscombined. Booking.com charges in hotel currency. AirBNB is charging in currency of credit card with F/X markup. I have FX commission free Visa but still was charged 2.5% premium even after having long conversation with them. As far as extra charges go that's specified in actual booking. I think I paid room tax in Barcelona separately. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk Edited July 1, 2018 by hkto
