Royal Caribbean Fights Back!

When was this? I'd love to read the transcript if you have the link.

It was in the first five-ten minutes of Oprah when Gayle was interviewing JHS. She said that IF the alleged fight was the last interaction she had with George, she'd have to live with it the rest of her life (or something to that effect.)

Just an FYI - I haven't seen it posted, but may have missed it. Brett Revkind is the attorney suing NCL for $100 million over last year's rogue wave incident. His class action suit claims that NCL risked the pax lives by racing back to New York for a photoshoot on The Apprentice.

I didn't see the Oprah interview - wasn't aware of the interview until it was over. Sounds to me as if she is casting doubt on whether or not it happened. This is from the link posted by Kenf333:

"Hagel-Smith called the accounts that she kicked her husband "ridiculous" and "outlandish."

"That's the epitome of what I've had to deal with," Hagel-Smith said. "That's not something I would do to my husband."

Anyone who saw the Greta show where she interviewed the staff captain and the customer relations officer. Was the "young man" who showed up in the customer relations (or whatever her title is) officer's office because he heard Jennifer and George's name called over the intercom the California teen named Josh or was it one of the Russian kids? I remember she said she was surprised when he asked if they found blood in the cabin.

Also, does anyone else think this Josh was a little infatuated with Jen? On the tape that his father made when Josh was being questioned by the Turkish police, Josh was certainly very emphatically defending Jennifer. And if it was him in the office, he also seemed to think he needed to be with Jennifer.

It was Josh

It appears it was not the casino guy she was flirting with. Here is a link to the article http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/01/06/d8evjkf80.html.

Thanks for the link Ken. Interesting that JHS thinks that all accounts of her kicking hubby in the groin are "ridiculous" and "outlandish". And so begins the huge conspiracy by everyone against the poor widow.

And how does she know she didn't do it, if SHE CAN'T REMEMBER!!

carona...if it's steel (heaven knows I've been on them for tendering and you'd think you'd remember) then that's a pretty tough canopy and there would in all likelihood be no dent. Even beyond that, a steel top would create quite a reverb sound (if someone landed on it) that was described as being heard by the neighbor. Only thing that troubles me is that it wasn't associated with an exterior noise, rather and interior noise. Maybe it doesn't matter.

But thinking about it some more, that's a lot of blood for landing on the top of a canopy, even at two decks. We think bleeding out for a while, but what can make that much blood that appears to be a plat with blood all under it as if you were to paint yourself in blood then lay down in it. There is one area that appears to be a more central/concentrated area, but I still see a laying down painted configuration as opposed to a bleeding and trailing around a body, particularly if he canopy is tilted as was suggested. The pattern suggests to me a flat area as opposed to a canopy curved upward to the sky in the center and down to the sea at the sides.

And why does it seem like it is not an outline? I know fabric can wick liquid, in this case it would have to be alot, but I am still stuck on that it maybe should be more of an outline...more outward and trailing.

Anyone have the link to the photo, I need to look at it again.

Thanks.

I would assume that even if he had a lawyer' date=' he would have to answer the FBI's questions. But if I was his lawyer, he wouldn't be talking to anyone else. [/size']

Thought so, it suprised me because of all the talk about the casino mgr and were did this guy come from, lol.

Another thing I have contemplated is that the ship was about two hours out of Turkey. That is nothing in terms of distance to me, and it leaves open the possiblity in my mind this was staged. Make noise in the cabin, leave blood on the lifeboat canopy, wait it out a bit, and later drop down into a waiting craft to be taken away.

If true, that's got to be on tape somewhere, scaling the side of a ship. If not, I'd like to know why the cruisline would not at least monitor life boats top to bottom, since we may all need them in an unfotunate event and would want to knwo them to be safe and free from tampering in these terroristic times. (Thats scenario makes me wonder too ....ensuring the lifeboats are fail safe in some obscure event....)

But why want to disappear? Then again why would Olivia Newton John's BF want to disappear... and it seems to me that's what he did....

Another statement from RCI

Royal Caribbean International Statement Regarding the Visit to Brilliance of the Seas by Smith Representatives

MIAMI, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Royal Caribbean has cooperated fully with all investigating authorities from the moment the company discovered Mr. George Smith's disappearance.

The company continues to be concerned that the release of so much information about this case has the effect of making the FBI's investigation more difficult, and that view has been repeatedly expressed by not only our company and others but also the FBI as recently as today.

Nevertheless, the company has decided to permit attorneys and investigators for the Smith family and Jennifer Hagel Smith to visit the ship on Monday, January 23, with the hope that they will honor the concerns about maintaining the confidentiality and the integrity of the FBI's investigation.

The company has noted the attorneys' and investigators' request to throw objects over the balcony of the Smiths' cabin. Due to the fact that the ship is in service with guests on board, the company cannot permit this activity at this time. However, the company is willing to discuss this activity under different circumstances sometime in the future.

when George disappeared, they had left Greece & if 4AM is the timeline that would put them in Turkish waters. They left turkey 4 hours late due to investigations.

Great that you agee with what I have said since August & ACorona4U joined me. Tho I have been insulted by folks who do not.

Furr, I had not seen the statement by the FBI on blood not being easily seen...which I guess means that they see it using some CSI magic stuff.

That said, I would guess that most cabins are covered in old blood...I've left some from cuts and the like. So I'm guessing that they will need to test to see if any of the spots are from DH or just some we all left behind.

But I don't watch CSI, so maybe they can make the determination more easily than I would guess. Anyone know??

Pirate, it is the RCI officials that I have heard saying this. Most recently on Opra. Essentially, when the the subject of blood in the room comes up it seems that they are careful to say that none was visible. This is said in support of the fact that the security officers saw "nothing amiss" when placing JHS into the room. Also, it now seems to be said in support of JHS not noticing anything when she awakes and leaves for the spa. My point is that they are not going so far as to say there was none present. This could lead to the conclusion that it was present in small amounts and/or in inconspicuous places.

It is true that finding small amounts of blood, even from GS, does not, by itself, indicate foul play. It would be patterns, placement, source, etc. that would determine that. They can very easily determine if any traces found in the cabin match that on the canopy. I would also hope that they would check it against all of those persons known to have been in the cabin as well.

If any was found, a lot hinges on how it was documented and sampled by the Turkish police.

I don't think I ever said I was totally onboard for that theory, but it's something that I considered, for a moment anyway. I'm sticking with my original theory until more evidence comes out.(that they fought, she left, he fell over, in a nutshell)
