What was with the guy that fall overboard and does not remember any thing until he woke up in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico and the ship was long gone. He must have been drinking the same thing JHS was drinking.

 

Yeah, did you catch that he had no pants on? I wonder how that came about? LOL

Did he claim to be unconcious or just had no memory? How does anyone survive in the water unconcious for anything longer than a moment or two without drowning? :confused: :confused:

Sorry to butt in here, but Finely Cruising mentioned a while back about a possible time change to explain some time discrepancies. Maybe there was a time chage of, say an hour, and some set their watches and clocks and others did not. Jaci said the casino closed at 2:30 but others have it closing at 3:30. Maybe Clete changed his clock when he went to bed? Just a thought. Carry on:) .

Did anyone Tivo Primetime tonight? I swear during the press conference with the Carver family, there is a woman with long red hair, standing to the right of the guy at the podium. It was really quick but I thought it was Bree Smith. Can anyone check this out??

Yes, I'm sure it was Bree.(< sounds like cheese....) See, they have this whole victim thing going, so they have contacted anyone, and everyone, who has ever had any incident with a cruiseline. I think they went back to like the Titanic days.......:rolleyes: :D...to get people to come forward to slam the cruise industry....

and I get to FF through them to see if any mention of JHS or GS. Yesterday was great with shows from Wednesday, they all were Natalee & the mother & baby shot to death & husband fled to England.

 

So I will start with Abrams at 4PM & finish with Primetime at 10PM.

I watched Primetime last night and was annoyed at how quickly people blame the cruiselines for people's personal problems and behavior on board. If people act up on trains and airplanes, do they blame the transportation companies? This blaming cruise lines is becoming frivolous IMO.

I initially said RCI was great in stating their position, but I would like to see them back off and let the FBI step up with the facts. Now in the absence of factual information, the tabloid media are positively destroying RCI's corporate image, and now mainstream TV is jumping on board with distorted versions of factual information, I will continue to support RCI releasing factual media information released to counter the mistruths that are being perpetuated as facts. Also, this is also now costing them significant dollars to defend their reputation tainted by the Smith ordeal.

 

If a cease and desist is not slapped on the Smith family, gloves off, I hope RCI sues them for slander.

 

I also think there must be someone who could bring pressure to bear on the FBI to comment on their investigation to alleviate some of the mistruths being placed on RCI. If they don't, are they then not complicit in the Smith family's accusations and open to some liability as well if RCI does indeed take this family to court for defamation.

 

Just getting fed up with the Smiths, et al.....

I agree. And the reason for all this, IMHO, is that the lawyers smell a buck and a defendant with deep pockets.

 

If this continues, cruise lines will have to take ridiculous measures to protect themselves from such lawsuits.

 

It is too much like the McDonalds lawsuit. If you order hot coffee and spill it all over yourself, is it the company's fault?

 

If you smoke cigarettes, get cancer and die, is it the tobacco company's fault?

 

If you get so drunk that you do stupid and dangerous things, it is the cruise line's fault?

 

There is no willingness any longer to take responsibility, especially when there is a lawyer out there waving the potential of big bucks in your face.

 

JMO.

I'm not going to split hairs with you on this, but I disagree. I think our society has taken this whole PC thing to extreme levels. Stereotyping, in my mind, is NOT the same as prejudiced/bigotry.

 

Thanks for sharing your view on this. If you ever step away from this thread, out of the house and into the big wide world, you might find a wealth of rich experiences that change your opinion. Of course, you might not.

 

I know a little about slander/libel too. Wolfie said, and I quote, "in my mind", which means she is stating her opinion, and having done that, there would be no slander, which is actually spoken word, so, really, if there were an issue, it would be libel. Which there's not. You can say anything you want about someone legally, if you state it in your opinion.

 

Libel/slander's not an issue here, as you note. Ignorance and prejudice still are, and we call 'em as we see 'em. Freedom of speech does not guarantee the right to say whatever you want and then magically escape others making judgments on your character and motivations once you say it. Wolfgang is free to state her opinion, and we're free to subsequently make fun of what we see as an amazingly underinformed and insular remark.

Amazing from 5 reports 3 are Carnival. But why did ABC show the "X" from Celebrity? The woman on Celebrity Mercury in ALaska and they refer to it as RCCL Celebrity showing the Crown & Anchor lit up not the "X". VERY BAD REPORTING!!! I did email ABC to tell them another reason why I do not watch their news. Also Carnival does a no show & that's OK, but keep bringing up & showing the blue Crown & Anchor for Carnival's A H's.

Stanford, the bloody figerprints, towel, tissues etc. that Gretta now reports is new info...well at least she claims it is confirmed...so maybe it is still rumor...

 

Would like to know when and where that blood came from.

 

Oh, love the guy who woke up naked in the Gulf of Mexico...these shows are better than the ones showing three headed snakes anyday.:D

Since Mr Carver is using Rivkin as the Smiths are to sue RCCL. So yo8u have all their attorney talking with everyone behind them.

 

Also very interesting when I stopped during the Congressional hearing & there are the 3 Smiths but not Jennifer! But I read they read a letter she wrote, so she wasn't there????

ABC Primetime.....what a disgusting, unfair, inaccurate story this is. I wrote and told them that they kept stating RCI, and that they NEVER mentioned the actual name of the ship Ms. carver went misisng on, or the Celebrity name!!!! To me, that's not right! They should have acknowledged that while RCI owns Celebrity, they have totally different management groups & companies.

 

I also told them that I thought this was just another lame attempt to spew venom at RCI, and the cruise industry in general.(in not so nice words)

 

I finally told them, "now if you will excuse me, I have a cruise to book, ON RCI"............

 

God I HATE biased reporting!!!:mad:

Exactly right.If someone falls off a hotel balcony do they blame hyatt?

is when they post transcripts from lst night's shows. So I am guessing the company posting the stuff is Pacific time, so we have a 3 hour wait.

 

 

 

Does anyone have any video links for any of the latest shows last nite. Primetime, Greta, etc. I seem to only be finding old stuff.
