Could 4:00 really be 4:10...sure. All of these times get so close, that an allowance for errors makes for an overlap. I've said from the get go, the Smith's cabin goings and comings reminds me of a Marx Brother's comedy. Humm, now that I think about it, the statements remind me of the ole "Who's on first" routine.

So now there are 5 not 4 - or was the underage cousin not with them during any of this.

 

Who takes pictures of room service food and why? Are all 5 of the men seen in the pictures?

 

Oh I forgot, according to Rusty's lawyer he is a great student who convinced his parents to let him take a once in a lifetime trip. Then he never got drunk but while his girlfriend was at home he participated in group sex with strangers he just met. Of course I should believe EVERY WORD HE SAYS.

 

I almost (almost) felt sorry for that lawyer - he seems like he is in way over his head.

 

I would hope since JHS and her attorney have maintained that they have cooperated fully that she has provided hair and DNA samples way back in July.

 

I'm going to stick with Clete's version of the drinking games - most anyone of a certain age can identify those distinct sounds. So for Rusty to deny that those took place poses a question to me.

Now after reading through all of these comments about what may have happened and who did it, I think Clete pushed George off of the balcony. My tale: He was upset about all of the noise and decided to approach George about it before he called security. George was very intoxicated and talking trash as someone who is highly intoxicated might do and Clete wasn't for the nonsense and popped George who probably tried to fight but then realizing he couldn't win tried to run and having nowhere to run went out on the balcony and either Clete joined him out there and continued to beat him until he fell over or he shoved him over. The motive: Wanting a good night of rest.

The "Russians" were thrown off the ship when it docked in Naples three days later. The captain was angered that the three had videotaped themselves having simultaneous sex with a woman. Kofman's lawyer says that Kofman is a "scapegoat" -- though "anti-Semitism" has not yet been mentioned. "They were looking for fun and they all got together and had sex with a girl — how many times does that not happen?" the lawyer said.

Wolf, the mouthpiece, er.. lawyer, said that 4 guys took GS back to the room, and all 4 went with GS to look for DW. They all left the Smith cabin together, and went to photograph the room service food together. The underaged one was not with them during any of this except for the photo session with the food. As far as I am concerned, the case is closed. This explains everything. JHS had a couple of weak drinks and passed out. These good smaritans did their best to assist the slightly tipsy GS, then went and photographed their food at 4:20 AM before eating it.

Clete Hyman is full of baloney and so is anyone else who says they heard or saw anything. I refuse to believe Elvis would be involved in this, so this points to our only remaining suspects - the aliens.

One more theory. Maybe the guys photographed the room service food because they missed the photo op at the midnight buffet and felt they neeeded some late night food pictures for their scrapbook. Makes sense to me.

OK EB - you have to buy me a new keyboard. I just did a spittake over your posts. I wish I could laugh aloud but I might get in trouble (I am pretending to work, you know.) The thought of a bunch of 20 year olds photographing food and then a day or so later photographing "something else" is just too much. But then again, after one cruise when we got the photos developed I kept asking Mr Wolf "Why in the heck did you take so many pictures of the midnight buffet?"

Hey Pirate, the lawyer dude said specifically that he could prove that Rusty and his 3 amigos were in Rusty's cabin by 4:00AM. He did not say how. He was also very specific about the room service arriving at exactly 4:20 AM. I am not sure why he would be so specific. It seems like maybe he would leave a little wiggle room as you suggest. These guys may not be responsible, but they sure don't sound too credible. I am willing to accept that it was an accident, but all of these conflicting stories just keep everything in doubt. I agree that the FBI probably has info from security records and I am thinking that it conflicts with at least some of this story. Otherwise, they probably would not be leaning on the "gang of 4" so hard. I guess we just stay tuned....

Any room service I've had, while serving the purpose of my needs at the time, was nothing noteworthy of photographing. Seems to me that they were already looking for alibi's. How about this scenario

 

The Lawyer confirms that they have time stamped proof that Rusty was back in his cabin by 4:00 a.m. ordering room service which was delivered by 4:20 a.m.

 

OK, so that means that the noise the cop neighbor heard AFTER having called security (this was the scraping furniture and a low voice talking and balcony noise, argurment and thud, whatever) was after they had already left. What if JHS came back to the room right after these guys left (after wandering after someone she couldn't find or maybe she was having a discussion with the cruise ship employee who was advising her to back to her cabin and honeymoon (HA!) which would be around 4:05, which is when the cop neighbor said it got quiet for a short time before the next around of noise. GS see JSH and is extremely pi---ed off, asks her where she has been, and then threatens to kill himself, cutting himself on something and then going out on the balcony, pushes the chair up to the railing and threatens to jump. JSH is freaking out and GS accidentally falls over. At this point JSH is in shock (and intoxicatED) and leaves the room in a daze and wanders down the next hallway and passes out, just in time to be found at 4:30 a.m. Once she is back in the room she cleans up any blood that might have been on any surface (the towel and klenex tissues). She has a couple of hours to come up with another story because if she told the truth, her and GS's lily white reputations would be ruined, and that just wouldn't do, so she wanes the "I don't remember story" and voila!

 

Just a thought.

Yeah, fishy is the word. Rusty's lawyer mentions proof that all 4 were out of the Smith cabin before 4:00 and mentions time stamped photos of the room service food that arrived precisely at 4:20. A couple days later, Rusty gets a call from the guys asking him to bring his video camera to the room. I can hear it now:

 

"Rusty, man, if thought those pictures of the eggs benedict were something, you gotta see this!"

 

Of course, when Rusty entered the room, camera in hand, they were having a "sexual escapade" with an underaged female passenger. Obviously avid shutterbugs.

It looks to that the three amigos..err four amigos took photos of everything that they did in their room. At least that part of their story is consistent. Hope the FBI got that camera...probably has photos of DH falling over.

 

Really, haven't we all come back with photo's of food! These guys probably found the food the best part of the cruise...now that I think about it, that is how I normally feel. :D

we assist with Security, at least I do. If a fight breaks out, I head to the phone in the corner of the floor to call for security to the area the fight is in & how man men, women or both are fighting. They show in 2 minutes or faster. Gotten a few champagnes as a thank you.

 

Now Clete, or Victor but nope he isn't Victor, as Victor would have been on his balcony as I would checking out what was going on. I even bring my camera to snap away for security. No stun gun allowed.....

 

So this buy is an office guy who has never been out in the real world. He was probably scared to death & his wife is ready to attack!

 

As far as no new news, then George takes a back stage til there is something worthwhile as they are getting emails from me with the same blah blah blah and nothing new. We have a sicko husband with a head wife & baby, shot in their stomachs the worst way to die, the police were there Saturday & just commented that no one made the bed & didn't look??? Massachusetts has great police, huh..... and the husband is in England with his parents & has no plas for a funeral???? YIKES! Tells me he is guilty! Still no matter what she drank or did, JHS is not part of the direct equation, just part of the story along the way, IMHO of course.

 

I think we are at the end of the line. I think ulness we see the tapes and the sea pass history, we are stuck. And I have to beleive although we are smart, very smart, the FBI ought to be better than us. I think we are all stuck.

That's a curious idea. Does anyone know if the ship has some sort of radar/sonar that can detect objects coming within a certain distance of the ship?

 

Yes, they all do. The radar, if recorded, may show something around that time, but it also depends on how sensitive it is set.

 

Not sure if they record that either though, as it is constantly changing. I know when it rains, it is visible on the radar, so who knows...fish and the like are not, I don't think, but I suspect something the size of a whale would show up.....when I worked on yachts, we had the same technology, but I don't remember ever seeing anything smaller than a boat on it....other than the rain....I know that sounds weird, but it's true.
