My wife and I are booked in late November on Mariner of the Seas aft cabin # 1692.Has anyone stayed in this aft cabin? Is this cabin larger than the side cabins? Any help on this would be appreciated

The cabins are about the same size give or take an inch here or there BUT the balcony is more then half the size of a side. You made a very wise decision.

On the sides you can have a two chairs and a small round table. On the aft you get two lounge chairs AND a chair AND a table and still plenty of room for a small party.

Jim,

We were on Mariner(great ship, BTW)in Feb. in #1690. Cabins are good sized. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Balcony is fabulous! You will love it! Great for port days, lying in the sun, and a little night-time fun! icon_wink.gif

Hey BoatGirl,

My concern about aft cabins is the "rocking".

Did you find that to be so? I was always told mid ship is best. What are your thoughts?

We are booked for Jan 16th on the mariner. we took mid ship. But yes the balconies are not that large.

I have sailed twice on the aft of ships. (wont sail anyother way again. I have never experienced any movement on the ship but then again I dont have any motion sickness. If you experience any motion sickness at all you may feel motion. My man got ill the first day of his first cruise but he quickly recovered.
