SanFranBayCruiser Posted January 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Just curious if anyone has booked the cruise to nowhere/dinner-dance on May 6, 2006 on NCL Dawn. We will be in NY that weekend and are giving it some consideration. Anyone care to commit or give a review of a cruise to nowhere on a NCL ship? Cruise_More_Often Posted January 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2006 We did the 1 and 2-nights to Nowhere on the Spirit when she was in San Francisco last October, and we had a blast. Be forewarned, however, that one night is not nearly enough time to decide whether you like or dislike a particular ship or style of cruising (such as NCL's Freestyle). Also, there most likely will be a different atmosphere aboard a 1-night cruise (party, party, party) than you will see aboard NCL's longer cruises. There's another current thread on this. SMILING IRISH EYES Posted January 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Not booked on this one but I am booked for the Oct.06 one night cruise. Girls night out. Can't wait - so in the meantime I will be sailing on the jewel in April.
TVLady2 Posted January 6, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 6, 2006 I booked this one back in Sept. when I was on the Dawn. No onboard credit, but we are getting a $180 cruise credit from last years canceled 1 day that we were booked on. So this is like a buy 1 get 1 free deal. Just hope this ones not canceled. SanFranBayCruiser Posted January 6, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Silly question - are all the restaurants, including the surcharge restaurants, open on these 1 nighters? If so, do I go directly to the restaurant to make a reservation?
Cruise_More_Often Posted January 6, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2006 There should be a table in the Atrium where you can make reservations. You can also call from your stateroom, but do it quickly. When we were on the Spirit (the 2-nighter), the Italian restaurant was the only one that wasn't open. shoreguy Posted January 6, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Silly question - are all the restaurants, including the surcharge restaurants, open on these 1 nighters? If so, do I go directly to the restaurant to make a reservation? I was on the one night in October. Not only are the specialty resturants open they were packed. They took reservatiions until 11 pm. If you want to eat in one book it as soon as you get on the ship.
