Travel between Marseilles and aix en Provence

Hi,

We're looking at doing a DIY trip from Marsielles to Aix and I was wondering which form of transport would be best? It seems that going to Aix is quite easy but when coming back there are not many departures.Also which Train/bus stops would be best?

I think that gare de Marseille saint charles would be the outward bound stop but not 100% sure?

You would be correct as the train station (and adjacent bus station) is the starting point for bus or train. You might want to wait until you arrive at the St Charles station and make your decision based on which offers you the best schedule at that time.

Hi Hlinter, thanks for the reply. What about the return to Marseille? There seems to be very little choice? Not many buses or trains coming back in the afternoon.
