cruisedreamin-gang Posted July 31, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2018 we have cruised the Fascination twice and in Oct the Elation. What are the main differences in the two ships? I know Elation has had the upgrades. The Fascination didn’t at the time We are cruising with our son and his family who have never cruised. We have a 7 and 9 year old grandchildren with us. A&Jfamily Posted July 31, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2018 I suggest ship comparison on Carnival's website. The Fascination has upgrades including Alchemy, Guys and Blue Iguana now.

BoDidly Posted August 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2018 Elation has he edge on this one. But in reality ,I would just flip a coin between these two Fantasy class ships.
2PinaColadas Posted August 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 2, 2018 Yes, they are both older ships, but some people prefer the smaller ships. Elation and Fascination are a lot alike-- size, cabins, etc... Both have the upgrades now, so you will have the Red Frog Pub, Guys, Blue Iguana and Alchemy. We cruise for the itinerary, so we aren't so picky about the ship. Attitude is everything.

Both ships have the Red Frog Rum Bar, but no Red Frog Pub. We have sailed on both ships, we think the atrium on Elation is prettier.
