calliesocks Posted August 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2018 Can anyone let me know how the check in is for the Your Time Dining on the Horizon? I just watched a video for the decks and he showed where you check in but it looked like it was on a computer - to a person? please let me know how it works? Thanks
RHilla619 Posted August 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2018 For your time dining on Horizon & Vista you go to deck 5 to check in right by the coffee shop. There will be an employee there that you give your room number and size of party to. If there is a wait they will give you a buzzer. Apparently on Horizon you can also check in using the hub app.
cccer Posted August 6, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2018 I just got off the Horizon last week and we had YTD. As mentioned before, the check-in is by the Coffee shop on deck 5 and it opens at 5:30. You can also check in using your phone app. Just show it to the wait staff when you get to the dining room. On two nights, the app was not working so we had to check in on deck 5. Not a big deal but don't rely on the app.

AdG15 Posted August 6, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 6, 2018 The app worked really well, but if you want to sit in a specific section (we did because we really liked that team) you do have to check in on deck 5. It`s quick and easy, and they will really try to accomodate your requests. Our wait time was never more than 30 minutes and it`s nice to just wander down to deck 3, perhaps take some pictures, have a drink, spend a little time in the casino, until the buzzer (and app) let's you know your table is ready. Garth2 Posted August 6, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 6, 2018 We have seen passengers already waiting in line at 5:00 for the 5:30 check-in.
AdG15 Posted August 7, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 7, 2018 We have seen passengers already waiting in line at 5:00 for the 5:30 check-in. We never had to wait more than five minutes at the check-in desk, but I should add that we usually requested a table around 7.30 or later.

I just watched a video for the decks and he showed where you check in but it looked like it was on a computer - to a person? please let me know how it works? Thanks Your time dining on Horizon was terrible from our experience in June. We pick Anytime on all our cruises and on this ship it was just chaotic. Had to wait an hour with the pager. Area was super crowded with similar cruisers. We finally went down to dining room and told them we were waiting over an hour. They told us they would seat us right away but walked us all over the dining room looking for a table. Service took forever and the poor servers were so busy and stressed. We went to guest services and changed to 6pm for the rest of cruise. I heard they have an app you can check in but we weren't told that at the time. Not sure if it wasn't available in June but probably would have helped the chaos around the check in area if they told people that option. Every day of the cruise we would walk by that area and it was crazy. We booked 6pm on the next cruise and probably will do that dining time for all future cruises. Long Island65 Posted August 8, 2018 #14 Share Posted August 8, 2018 Was on two weeks ago and had YTD - used the Hub app to check in- we were a party of 4 and never waited more than 10 minutes to get our table number & headed to dining room - showed our phone to hostess at door & were seated. The 1 day app didn't work we checked in on deck 5 & were given table assignment right away
