Robin1961 Posted September 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2018 Hey Gang, I have been asking a lot of questions for our MED Cruise, which I can now say is "NEXT MONTH".[OCT 28th 2018] We are making a stop in Monaco, for those that have been to the Casino Royal, before you head into the Casino, is there a gift shop of any kind? Can you buy chips before heading into the Casino? any other tips besides dress code can you share would be greatly appreciated Thank you in advance Robin & Angel "D"
kirsty_r Posted September 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2018 You may get more answers asking in the ports of call forum, but my understanding is the casino is quite formal with dress, suit jacket and tie. I can’t help you with the chips question. Some parts of the casino don’t open till 2pm from what I’ve heard from friends so check opening hours before your trip to make sure the parts you want to see aren’t closed. delaware32 Posted September 1, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2018 There is a dress code (jacket tie etc.) . Maybe to reduce us tourist types.when we visited Monaco a 10 Euro fee to enter . Beautiful area and nothing less than a Bentley parked outside .
chloemonkey Posted September 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2018 There is an entry fee....and an area where we "tourists" can visit to play slots, video poker, etc. I do not recall if there were gaming tables or not? And the stop there was really short.....and our guide kept telling us that it was not really worth the expense...but we did it anyway. As we felt it may be our only chance to visit this casino. They were getting ready for a private event, the Prince was on the property...so security was tight. The area where coat and ties are separate from the area where we played.....anyway, we spent about 20 minutes playing video poker.....were up about 500 euros then lost it all! It was fun and worth the entry fee.
