Zip Line Excursion in Cozumel

We are considering a new Carnival Excursion in Cozumel called the Mayan Jungle Explorer. We would ride bikes, go through three zip lines and snorkel. Has anyone out there been on this excursion or one like it?

 

Is it worthwhile? Should we book through Carnival (don't want to get nickel and dimes to death on our own paying ferry, taxi...) or try on our own.

 

Any info would be appreciated...only 12 days to sailing the Miracle 1/22/06

My family all did the Zip line in Hawaii and had a blast. It seemed as if it would be very scary but it really wasn't. On our trip, we had a total of 7 zips. The first one is the hardest but after that it's easier to keep your eyes open and enjoy the scenery. You may want to wear jeans or very long shorts. Some in our party ended up with inner thigh rope burns :eek: .

I had on jeans and it was no problem.

Unfortunately, this tour isn´t a big deal. Only a couple of lines and not much fun.
