Gift Cards -> Slot Machine -> Cash

We received almost more money in gift card then what we need. Can I go to the casino day one, add money to my player bank, play or not play, and go cash it out at the cashier? I ask because we can use this money for tipping and excursion rather than taking money out of the bank.

Yes, you can pull money from your S&S at a slot machine, transferring it to your Players bank and cash it out at the cashier. I would suggest playing a little bit before cashing it out, but I'm not sure that it is absolutely necessary. I pull money from S&S several times during a normal cruise. Then if I win and I want to share my winnings with my sister if she's losing, I go to the cashier and cash out part of my bank to give to her. Obviously, you will cash out everything in your Players Bank at the end of the cruise, but I do this numerous times during the cruise. Though I don't necessarily cash it all out, I don't see any reason that I couldn't do that.

If you charge your S&S on the slots then cash out without playing, your S&S can get blocked from further charges on the slots.
