Birthday question

we will be on the Breakaway at the end of August in the Haven. We always vacation that week and celebrate our daughters adoption day. Does it have to be the exact day? We’re used to Disney where we celebrate all week.

We’re not looking for anything free, we are just looking to celebrate :)

You shouldn't have any problems, and I doubt they will verify if it's really their birthday. I was on the Epic in 2016, and my friends told the waiter it was my birthday.. my birthday was like two weeks before I got on the cruise... I'm pretty sure I even told the waiter that. They didn't care. They sang and gave me a piece of cake.

When I mentioned to the NCL agent that I was celebrating my birthday on an upcoming cruise, she noted that (not the date or the fact that I was born before the wheel was invented) event and said there would be a card in our stateroom for a cake. And that I should take that card to the restaurant of my choice on the voyage and I would have a cake. And presumably have a fuss made over me.

I'd suggest letting your TA or NCL agent know that your daughter will be celebrating. She'll probably like the fuss more than I will.

Enjoy your cruise.

I kept forgetting to bring the birthday card for hubby's birthday on our recent Bliss cruise. The day before the last night of the cruise I asked about it at the Haven Restaurant and they typed it in the computer and said no need to bring the card for dinner the next night. It was 3 weeks after his birthday. A big fuss was made and it was a yummy cream cake.

I'm not sure if it's different in Haven, but my husband had pre-ordered a birthday package when we were on the Escape for my 40th birthday. I think it was $30 or $40 extra, and our stateroom was decorated with banners and balloons when we arrived and a cake waiting for us (it was so good!). We cruise at the end of this month for his 40th birthday, so I ordered the same package.
