Everglades

Am thinking about booking the post-cruise excursion to go to the everglades. I read on the everglades national park site that a good portion of park is closed due to damage from the hurricanes this past September. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to do the everglades tour or should we just stay near the Miami beach instead. We are flying out on Monday.

Oh, those Everglades excursions don't take you to Everglades National Park.

The excursions from the Port of Miami normally take you here... http://www.evsafaripark.com/

The excursions from Port Everglades/Fort Lauderdale normally take you here... http://www.evergladesholidaypark.com/

Both of those parks are open and operating just fine.

Trent,

I looked at both of your links. We are also looking for an airboat tour, and hoping to see some gators as well. We arrive early in the AM on a Friday at Ft Lauderdale and will have a rental car, so we can go anywhere. We are a family of 6 and don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Which tour would you suggest?
