Hi, my wife and I are sailing on the Britannia on the 29th March next year. We have cabin number A231. We have never had a balcony before and would love to hear from anybody who has had the same cabin and whether it is worth paying the extra for a balcony.

PS

going out as a European, hope they let us back in:'):'):')

Hi there, we have not stayed in the same cabin as the one you have booked but have had a balcony cabin on Britannia. Our first cruise, many years ago, we had an outside cabin, with a big picture window and we thought that was great. On our next cruise we had a balcony, we loved it and have always had a balcony since. The balconies on Britannia are the smalles we have had but it was fine for us. What we love about a balcony is being there when going into a new port or leaving at the end of the day. Also, it is a lovely quiet spot to do a bit of reading away from the hustle, bustle of the ship. The other added benefit is that you sometimes get to see dolphins or flying fish on one occasion - amazing. We have another cruise booked on Britannia in 2020, it’s not our favourite ship but the itinerary is what want and we have no hesitation sailing on her again. You will have a great time.
