JanetScho Posted January 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2006 Wow. You'll have a great time! We sailed last February on Celebrity Century and are going again on Royal Carribean Explorer of the Seas on Feb 5th! Last year the weather was perfect. We did Western Carribean and it only got a litle chilly when we were in Key West. Which ship are you on?
Jeepers385 Posted January 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2006 We've done several cruises in February and it's one of the best times to the Caribbean. In Belize we went cave tubing with Reggie and Cozumel is great for beaches, shopping and Carlos & Charlies. Key West have not been there yet but it's got to be warm so enjoy. bouhunter Posted January 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2006 The caribbean is always warm:) Key West will likely be in the mid-70's but could be warmer or cooler. We go there every winter. 3-4 years ago in late Feb. it was downright cool (60's) and damp, but that's not the norm.
stargate fan Posted January 12, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2006 We ONLY cruise in February. (It's our kids' school vacation.) Twice we have sailed out of Miami. Both times the weather was warm and sunny, we wore shorts, t-shirts and sandles, while our friends back home wore jackets, gloves, hats, scarves, etc. :p We experienced great weather on the ship and at the ports. Never even had a cloudy day in three cruises. I only hope our next cruise is the same. Anybody with information on cruising in Febuary. Aleciajoyful1 Posted January 12, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2006 I'm sailing from Feb 12-19th. Is that week typically a school break week?
stargate fan Posted January 12, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 12, 2006 I know that most of New England has the week of the 20th off. We in NH, where our state motto is "Live Free or Die", has vacation the following week. Not sure about the other 44. I'm sailing from Feb 12-19th. Is that week typically a school break week? lojill Posted January 12, 2006 Author #8 Share Posted January 12, 2006 We are going on the Enchantment. Here in Columbus,oh school is not out.We chose this date because we knew in most places school was still in. My family did not want to go on their first cruise durning hurricane season and their schedules were to busy to go any other time. And they thought spring break and summer would be too crowded with kids.We are all around the ages of 40-49. So everything depends on this cruise whether we bring our kids next time. This is all of our first cruise 12 of us. We picked Enchantment because it was a 5 night and since i'm the one planning it I wanted to make it short to see if we would like cruising. So the weather means a lot.

atlcple2 Posted January 13, 2006 #18 Share Posted January 13, 2006 January and February are the perfect times to go on a cruise. We typically cruise during that time and in 2005, we decided to go on our anniversary during the week of Labor Day...NEVER AGAIN!!!!! We went on the Caribbean Princess, a very large ship, and we had 7-10 foot swells and the ship was up and down the entire time. While we didn't get sick, I can see how many people did. It's January and February for us from now on!!!
