Walkie Talkies Available on the ships to rent?

Does anyone know if Carnival rents walkie talkies on the ships?

I had heard somewhere that if your kids are in Camp Carnival, they give you a two way radio to keep in touch. Does anyone know if that is also true?

Thanks a bunch.....

Are you kidding? If Carnival rented them, the price would be horrendous like the scuba gear. The walkie Talkies are so cheap now that purchasing them is the only way to go and you will have them for several cruises. Try K-Mart, Sears or Wal-Mart.

Depending on the age Camp Carnival will give you a phone to use so they can reach you if needed. We just bought a set of walkie talkies at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago. They were around $50 , but they came with a charger. They worked really well. We were at the port in Costa Maya and talked to MIL on the ship.

It is cheaper to buy your own. Check ebay for the 2 way radios. Get the kind with a recharger-it will save you on batteries also. The pager is for the group with the 3-5 year olds. I dont know if the give them to the older ones though.

Yo! Nurse,

I just today read BestBuy's ad for a pair of Columbia 2-mile radios for $14.99, or a pair of Midland 7-mile units for $37.99.

Wal*Mart still carries the pair of Uniden 2-milers for $17.88.

Then you can keep them for the kids.

Ain't life fun?
