My 24 y/o son and I did this excursion last week.  Just a little review.

We took a short bus ride to the private beach (Silcer) and got the ATV's.  We did a few laps in the parking area to make sure the ATV's were in working order and to make sure everyone was comfortable.  I never drove one before, it was so easy!  We drove through sandy pathways and a few teeny tiny hills (if you call it that), for me it was fun and adventurous (lol) but my son said mom it could have been more adventurous.  We stopped for water break, drank from a coconut (I didn't like it).  We had wonderful guides Eduardo and Martin. We drove the ATV's back to the beach resort, we had the option to order a buffet from the restaurant.  $12.00 all-inclusive with sodas or $20.00 for all-inclusive with adult beverages.  I chose the option for $12.00, the food was good.  Chicken fajitas, nachos and cheese quesadillas.  They have a nice pool area, the water is okay (better than Galveston).  The bathroom was clean.  Friendly staff.  All in all is a good day!  It was about a 4.5-5 hour excursion including the ride there and back to port.
