Graeme Hall Nature Preserve

Thought some island visitors might enjoy visiting this attraction - it's very worthwhile. It's on the South Coast close to the St. Lawrence Gap area. This is probably a 20 min. drive from the cruise terminal.

GRAEME HALL NATURE PRESERVE -- Newly opened in May 2004. Visitors are able to stroll through ancient mangroves and tall trees, along trails around the lake, all the while enjoying a wonderful variety of bird and animal life. The flocks of egrets coming in to roost at the end of the day is an amazing site, their chosen trees gradually turning from green to white as they crowd onto every available branch. Also you will have a chance to feed the Tarpon fish – they are over three feet long and this is amusing -- their favorite snack is dog chow and they really jump for their food! There is also an enclosed bird aviary and beautiful flowers throughout. Well worth a visit.
