ELA Posted November 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2018 There are 4 of us and we just want to check out the beach and the pier area. Should we take the ship shuttle (total $60 plus a peace of mind) or should we consider Uber or other options? Someone told me it’s a pain to get to outside of the port as most Uber drivers aren’t authorized to get into port/pier area. thanks
amberjohn Posted November 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2018 We are leaning toward the $15 NCLshuttle to Cocoa Beach or the $35 NCL shuttle to Disney Springs? We heard alternative transportation is expensive and tough to get from the NCL port.
softl Posted November 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2018 Don't know your specifics but we did a one-way van rental from Orlando Int. to get to the ship and another for the return. Our flight was late Sat night so we went to the beach for the day.
Rare mking8288 Posted November 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2018 Just outside the terminal building, there are plenty of taxi shuttle services to go to Coca Beach, dropping you off at Ron John with frequent return trip to the ship. Prices are same as or lower than NCL's shorex prices. You don't need to walk any further either way.
NikkiDee-Canada Posted November 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2018 We called an Uber. They aren't allowed in the port area, but we simply had to cross the road to reach them. When you get off the ship, you can walk straight and walk past the barrier gate arm and they can pick you up there. Less than a minute walk. The alternative didn't look fun. They had shuttles, but the line was crazy long and we had a combined 5 children with us (two were toddlers). We made arrangements with the Uber to pick us back up at the beach when we were done. She actually called a friend of hers, as well, and we had two vans show up to drive us around. It was much cheaper than the shuttle would have been for all of us (11 people in total).
