Should I go for the 11???

HI there everyone...

We have an opportunity to upgrade to a Cat 11 on the Triumph for 375.00 for three of us. (not really an upgrade .. just a change in cabin with a FEE). We are in a 8B now.. and we are happy with our middle of the ship cabin.

For those of you who have been in an 8 and an 11 - is the difference worth it? Worth the money? The room looks lovely.. but to be honest, we are happy with our balcony.. we know what to expect and there is nothing wrong with it at all.... but just the thought of going a little "deluxe"...

Opinions Please!
Thanks!
Cathy

We are also booked on the Triumph (April 24) and are in a Cat 8C with 2 small children.

Right now, it's $800 more to upgrade to a Cat 11. Too much for me.

If it drops to only $400 more, I'm TAKING IT.

My suggestion is, if you can afford it, the $400 is worth the extra space and just the feeling of being in a suite.

Last year we upgraded from a 6A on the Paradise to a Cat 12 for $600.00 and it was worth every penny. Remember, however, that on the Fantasy class ships, only the suites have balconies so it was all or nothing.

Can not speak for the Triumph, however, I was on the Legend last year and booked a Cat. 11. Loved it, absolutely worth the extra money. Had friends in a Cat. 8 and we had way more room and a bigger balcony as well, plus you get to partake in Skipper's Club, that is if the port you are sailing out of recognizes it, we sailed from NY and when I told them I had Skipper's Club I might as well have said "Hi, I am infected with Bubonic Plague".

according to the Carnival website, NY does recognise Skipper's Club. Did you find it that different? Tell us more about your embarkment, please.
