berbet Posted January 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2006 We've only cruised once before and that was on RCI. I loved the fact that there were tons of activities to choose from each 1/2 hr of the day. Is it the same on Disney cruises? Looking at a 3 or 4 day one. Will I find adult activites (we have no children) or will all the activities include kids? Don't get me wrong, I love children. I know there is an adults only pool, bar, dance club but wondered about the activities. Have other childless couples found enough to keep them busy on the cruise? Are there tables for 2 available at dinner or will we have to sit with strangers? Thanks.
gardener68 Posted January 14, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2006 first off, no casinos but Bingo was cool, I won $300, movies were current and playing all the time, the spa was nice. expensive..but worth it. There were adult lounges with a Pub like atmosphere. Also adult only pool is so beautiful. Food was great too. Drink specials daily too.
mom x4,grandma x4 Posted January 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2006 Hi, They do not have tables for 2 unless you book Palos. Tables are from 4 to 10 people. Couples are usually placed as fill in's at the tables. But we have met some very nice people at dinner on our cruises. Besides what the above poster stated there are several adults around the ship during the day. Wine and cheese tasting adult craft classes art of entertaining series after 9 p.m. there are 3 adult only clubs an adult only coffee cafe on deck 10 by the pool. some of the ships tours are adult ( over 18) only: such as a bridge tour, a galley tour etc... But even though these events say adults only, people seem to show up with their kids part of the time, not at the clubs or wine tasting, but at the tours and game shows. There are also adult only cabaret shows in the evenings some times too. They are hilarious!! We like the game show called, "Know your mate" Check you daily navigators and they will tell you of all the ships events of the day and what is adult and what is family. We have cruised DL 10 times, 6 times were as a couple, no kids or grandkids. We had plenty to do to keep ourselves entertained. There are lots of people on board who dont have kids with them, you'll have a blast. mom x4,grandma x4
