Gala Evening Christmas Ball

We've sailed Cunard before on all three Queens, but this will be our first Christmas voyage. Is the Gala evening Christmas Ball on Christmas Day any more formal than other gala evenings? My husband will be wearing his tuxedo and I will wear a long dress but is there more of a theme? Thanks for any information you can give. Pam

I wear a less-formal, Christmasy bow tie but otherwise it's pretty much the same. I've seen women wear their most stunning gowns either on Christmas or New Year's Eve so you might want to open around that.

I guess I will be underdressed so I hope I am not the only one 🤞 I only have two dresses and they are both short 😊

We just got off QM2 and I saw more shorter dresses and pant with nice tops vs gowns this time...as noted maybe more at Xmas, but expect not all gowns.

Christmas and New Year you will see some outstanding dresses. More glizt and glam. You can really go for it as you are never overdressed on Cunard. Christmas is the ultimate time to dress up. Glizy sparkle. Full length dresses stunning!
