we are going on voyager of the seas march 18 2006 eastern carribean. Does anyone know if Portifinos is open the first night at sea? which day of the cruise will be the formal nights?:eek:

Your first formal night will probably be Monday as it is usually the first sea day, but I've seen them do it on the second cruise day as well, which would be Sunday for you. The second should be on Thursday. Portofino is open the first night, but make your reservations as soon as you get on.

On ships that have both Portofino's and Chop's, we have found that on some ships only one of the two will be open on the first night and they often alternate.

We did this exact itinerary last month on the Voyager. Our Formal nights were Sunday and Wednesday. On the first night of our cruise, there was an 8:00 p.m. Murder Mystery Dinner Theater in Portofino's for the price of $49.50, and reservations were required. We did not attend, but I think that was the only thing going on in Portofino's that night.
