Port of New Orleans - How soon a flight?

We are sailing on the Carnival Glory in May of 2019.  We will be platinum VIFP gusts on this cruise.

 

We are to arrive back in NOLA at 8:00 am. 

 

What is the soonest flight out of MSY airport we should book to fly home to CT.

 

I see that I have flight options at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

I would take the approach that anything that can happen will happen, and schedule the later flight.

 

That said, we have been in our cars and gassing up on Loyola Avenue in Kenner, past the airport, for 9am.

The 1:00 flight is your best bet.  You may be able to make the 11:00 one, but all it takes is a delayed debarkation, traffic to the airport, or delays going through security at the airport to miss your flight. Why end a vacation on a stressful note?  I always book an early afternoon flight whenever possible.

I'd take the 11:00 am.  Just do self debarkation and you'll be fine. Probably been in/out of NOLA four or five times and never had a problem.
