Thanks

the weather was windy all week - they made two attempts to get to the island but the sea wasn't cooperating for it to be safe to tender.  Within an hour of the announcement - they delivered the revised Freestyle Daily to the cabins and had them available throughout the ship.

I can see that would be dicey. Make sense, I just thought a patient of mine sailing on another line talked about it being in the 60’s in Cozumel and she sailed about  the same time- which was astounding. Sounds like a cooler and breezier vacation than expected. But hey, free time is free time, just less sand to wash off 👍🏼

Oops.. it shows day 2 and 3 as portrait days. Which was the “formalism” night? I do realize NCL plays that down, but we enjoy getting dressed for portraits and I am confused which is set aside as the dressier one, thanks!

Haven night out was day 2 while Norwegian night out was day 3 - the first sea day.  Not many folks were dressed up either night and the photographers weren't pushy at all  You can always stop by their area and make an appointment

We love dressing up, it’s fun to get photos made 😊 I know not everyone likes it, but we do. I thought on 10 day they had a second one sinceusually do on even 7 days. It will be fabulous regardless, back in the Haven! Sorry your beach day got beached 😞

Day 8 - Costa Maya -- it was finally sunny!

tram was available for the long pier walk if needed

Independence of the Seas was also in port - While we were eating breakfast in the Haven restaurant, we had a perfect view of the "surfers" on the flowrider

Day 10 - at sea.  As with all vacations - it went by so quickly!

I thought I had the disembarkation pamphlet but I can't locate it  -

We were in the Haven so we had the option of being escorting off any time until 9:45

The wheelchair arrived for mom around 8:20 and we were curbside waiting for the car by 8:45 -

One thing I thought was odd and I hadn't experienced at other ports -- the ship's staff could provide wheelchair escort only to the exit ramp door where port staff then provided escort to up to customs.  At other ports, it had been ship's staff up to customs.  Being in the Haven and having a porter definitely expedited the exit.

The only question customs asked was if my mom liked her rollator walker because he was thinking of buying one for his MIL.  About 1 minute after that - my mom ,now out of the wheelchair and using the rollator, realized that the rollator wasn't her brand new one but an older one - her name wasn't on the handle (a return address label) and my contact information wasn't in the zipper portion of the seat.   She thinks it happened when we left dinner the last night as this was the only rollator at the restaurant entrance.  The person who has hers may not realize it  - there were many, many Drive rollators on board. At the airport we saw one that was decorated - not a bad idea for future cruises for differentiation

Spa Information

Did not purchase a spa service but did purchase the spa pass in advance - felt it was worth it especially because it is something I really enjoy and the forecast was for cloudy weather much of the week.  The pool was wonderful and did a fabulous job of eliminating my stiff shoulders and neck from being tied to a PC all the time!

Wish I had attended a spa tour on the first day as there are many different rooms in the spa - different saunas and steam rooms and a relaxation room.

This spa has a balcony which was a very nice feature not found on the Away ships.

No one hogged the  heated loungers.

All the spa robes look the same so remember which hook you placed yours when entering the pool.
