Messaging apps

Do any other messaging apps work besides imessages without a wifi package? And what apps work with the social media package?

I used FaceTime with the premium package (I think that’s the surfer package) and it worked decently. I also used mail and iMessages.

Just off Meraviglia, Whatsapp would not work on ships Wi-Fi without a package.

 

Below is the info sheet from the ship, it mentions Whatsapp, Twitter and Facebook as examples.  So I would presume anything like those three would work under social with no problem.
