Crossing the Pacific from Japan to Alaska

Hi

Has anyone crossed the North Pacific from Japan to Alaska, particularly in May? If so, what was your experience? Just wondering what to expect weather wise and regards possible marine life.

Hi Kandooma, are you going to be on QE in May.  We have a roll call if you are interested.  I hope the weather will be nice and we get to see marine life too.  We are on 5-31 May.

Like any weather, it really is impossible to say.  The northern Pacific can generate some terrific storms, even in the summer, but not as likely as the winter.  Alaska, and particularly Southeast, can get very rainy.

You can look at wind, sea and temperature forecasts for the entire world and it is specifically targeted for those using satellite internet at sea, so it isn't terribly bandwidth intensive.
