lilk8 Posted January 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2019 There will be 4 very active members of my group going to Kotor, Corfu, Santorini, Mykonois, Argostoli and Dubrovnik in June of this year. I would appreciate any suggestions as to what activities, sites or casual restaurants are a must to experience. We love all water sports, don't mind physical adventures and good food. Off the beaten path is right up our alley. We are not interested in long site seeing tours, we prefer to be hand on and in smaller groups. So excited for this experience (bucket list) for me, so thank you for any ideas you may have!
SummmerInKefalonia Posted January 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2019 For Argostoli take a taxi and go to Makrys Gialos beach which is about 10 minutes by taxi from the port. It is really cheap and it has a beach bar, sunbeds for rent and especially water sport activities you say you like. It's not the best place to see in Kefalonia but it suits really good to what you are looking for your vacation.
Rare marazul Posted January 27, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2019 (edited) For Mykonos check out the 4-wheel drive tours: https://aurastours.rezgo.com/details/104948/jeep-safari-tour-by-4-wheel-drive-mykonos-town-greece http://www.safarimykonos.gr/ Also look at this site: http://www.mykonos-web.com/tours-excursions/index.htm Edited January 27, 2019 by marazul
trosebery Posted January 28, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2019 Also in Mykonos, I've done the bicycling and picnic tour to the beach with Dimi http://www.yummypedals.gr/ She was great. Picked us up at the port, drove us to her organic winery, outfitted us with bikes, and took us on traffic-free roads (mostly flat; some hills) through the countryside to a quiet beach where we had a homemade picnic light lunch and had some time for swimming. The couple we were with opted to stay at the winery for a while, but we wanted to head back into town and Dimi dropped us at the windmills and gave us directions for how to get back to the port.
