marley Posted January 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2019 We are going on the Bliss this summer to Alaska. Looking at booking the flight home. What is the earliest time to fly out that would be reasonable after getting off the ship? Also for those of you that have spent some time in Seattle what are some things we must do or see? We have a pretty active group.
mapleleaves Posted January 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2019 SeaTac is about a 30 minute drive from the NCL pier, but give it an hour due to construction, and the usual terrible congestion around Seattle. The airport is very busy, esp on weekends when several thousand cruise pax are added to the mix, so plan on arriving 2 hrs prior to your flight. There is a luggage valet service offered by the Port. Check to see if your airline participates: https://www.portseattle.org/page/port-valet-enjoy-seattle-luggage-free Otherwise there is luggage storage at the pier until 3pm. Details are on the above port web site. If you have time to kill, NCL pier is right downtown so you can easily visit the pike place market, then walk 2 blocks to Westlake Center and catch the monorail for a 5 minute ride to the Seattle Center. Check the Seattle Visitor Info site for things to do.
broncofan99 Posted January 28, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2019 Ncl has a post cruise tour that takes you to the Space Needle and Pike Place with your luggage and drops you off at airport. Good way to kill 5 hours and easy disembarkment direct to tour buses. We had enough time to eat at the Market. Beware if you fly Frontier they only opened gates 2 hours before flight and we couldn’t get rid of checked bags early.
