NCL Spirit Norway & arctic summer solstice

Hi,

just wondering if anyone has any info for this cruise in particular any idea what actually happens on the day the itinerary says cruise svartisen glacier.  Tia x

Did this cruise a few years ago, at the Svartisen glacier the ship just sails close to the glacier so that you can admire it and make some photos. I believe we stayed put for maybe a couple of hours, as the ship was turning slowly to have "all sides" of the ship on the glacier side at one point. That was pretty much it, otherwise just a seaday. Except that on the same day, we were also crossing the Arctic Circle (the exact point marked on a small island).
