Shore Excursions-Eastern Carribean

Recommended Posts

We are cruising the Eastern Carrbian for the first time in February. We have a 14 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. Can anyone recommend shore excursions in St Thomas, St Martin and Nassau. We like the beach but wondered which port would be the best "beach" port (don't want to do beach for all three).

Thanks a bunch!

Nassau - Blue Lagoon Island....dolphin swim! An experience they won't forget. Check the status of Blue Lagoon after the parade of hurricanes last year.

St. Thomas - take the ferry over to St. John's and enjoy the most beautiful beaches on earth. Also...there's a tram on St. Thomas right by the pier. You take it up the side of a mountain and the view is spectacular.

IMHO

Thanks, I'll be sure to check it out!

I notice you were on Explorer of the Seas - were you happy with it?

We will be on the Explorer for the second time in March. She's a great ship...fun and elegant at the same time. And you can't possibly get bored...there's way too much to do...something for every age group and activity level. We loved her and can hardly wait to get back on, so we can try some of things we didn't get a chance to last time!

As for excursions, we generally go out on our own, rather than booking through RCI. This will be our first time to the Eastern Caribbean also, so I'm interested in what other posters have to say. We want to go to beaches where there is good snorkeling, as we got snorkels and masks for Christmas:D
