Canal and Co - Barge Cruising in France

Hi There,

 

Just wondering whether anyone has experienced the glories of Barge cruising in France???

 

If so was it a positive experience and is at as relaxing and as good as it sounds??

My husband and I have been on 2 different barges in France and I plan to go again as soon as A & K re-establishes their route to Bordeaux!!! Very relaxing, fun, fabulous wines and food!!!! When you consider absolutely everything (except a balloon trip) is included, it's a great value....not for everyone....if you need bright lights, lots of loud vibrant music, spas, a new vigarous activity every minute then this experience isn't for you!!!

We have gone ahead and booked the Barge Cruise and am looking forward to the experience very much!!

 

So far the plan is 4 days in Paris then a 6 night Barge cruise. The Barge cruise atomsphere really appeals to us and am sure we will not be dissapointed.

 

Both of us have travelled extensively and neither of us seek a bright light party atomsphere, nor do we like an overplanned busy holiday.

 

Have a feeling we may enjoy this experience more then a standard cruising.:)
