She is a water dog and loves swimming and taking part in the beach.  However, she is only about 45 inches tall and could not take advantage of all the slides at Atlantis.  What would you recommend we do during our 4 days cruise with port stops in Freeport and Nassau?  As adults, we had usually stayed on the ship in the Bahamas as it was part of many other ports of calls on our cruises.... However, with it being a 4 day, the Bahamas are our only stops....  What do you all think?  I certainly appreciate it!

Look into a beach day pass at Blue Lagoon.  It's a private island that you can only access by ferry.  While you're there, you can walk around and see the dolphins and sea lions.  The lagoon side is very calm and there's also a beach side that is less crowded but more rough.  Another option is a day pass at Melia - nice beach and pools.

  • 4 weeks later...

We spent a week on Grand Bahama for Spring Break, with our three young children- if you can, take a taxi to Banana Bay. You can rent a lounge chair and eat/drink all afternoon. It's an amazing beach and not crowded. If you want more of a party atmosphere, Taino is the place to be.
