Luggage storage, Vancouver

We will spend the night of 17 Sep 19 in Vancouver and next day tour Vancouver.  We are sailing on the Holland America Volendam 18 Sep 19, we will board by 1630, so that means maybe 2 hours before.  We hope to see Stanley Park and other places.  Is there a place to store our luggage, and what is the rate.  Thank you.

Just check your bags in at the pier John - while it is a three ship day so the longshoremen might still be dealing with offloading bags for a while, apparently these days there is a holding area for incoming bags so you don't have to wait until they are done with the disembarking pax. Worst case, bag drop begins at 10:30am even on very busy days.

 

If you want to get an earlier start - and the park opens at daylight, so you certainly can if you go there first - simply leave your bags in your hotel and come back for them. Any downtown hotel is close enough to the pier to make this trivially easy - and on a short precruise visit I'd almost recommend against an airport hotel as what you might save in money you lose in time, and time is most important on a short trip. Besides, the YWCA Hotel is cheaper than even the bargain airport hotels anyway and better rated...

 

Absolute worst-case scenario - a nonrefundable hotel in the 'burbs already locked in - you can stash your bags with the bell staff at the Pan Pacific hotel, literally on top of the pier, for $5 a bag.
