Luggage And Land Cruise

When one is taking a Cruise and Land Tour after, how is luggage handled?  Thanks!

We did an Alaska land and cruise tour 2 years ago and they handled the luggage very well. From the time we checked into our hotel and got checked in with our tour guide, we had to do very little with our luggage.  Each morning/afternoon that we were to move from hotel-to-bus-to-hotel, they picked up and dropped off our luggage from/in our room. I was amazed how well it worked.   We could even have one piece left on the bus if we didn't need it until we got on our ship.  This made things even easier for us.  I was very impressed with how smoothly this worked.

As an aside, it was recommended to us and we were glad we listened, to do the land tour first so we could relax more on the cruise.  The direction of this also worked to our advantage as it gave us the shorter trip home.

We did an Alaskan cruisetour in August with the land portion after the cruise.  RCI took excellent care of us on our land portion.  We had a tour guide with us for the entire land portion that coordinated all the luggage, rooms and excursions.  As mentioned, each stop they unloaded the luggage from the bus and put it into our rooms for us.  Then the next morning we put our luggage outside our doors and they picked them up and loaded them onto the bus and onto the next stop.  Very easy travel.  We loved the Alaska cruise and the land portion.  Enjoy your trip.
