Hotel in San Juan

I need suggestions for a nice Hotel in San Juan for a pre-cruise stay.

Stayed at the Caribe Hilton for a 1 night pre-cruise 2 years ago. I loved it. Got it through Priceline for $65. Great deal.

My sister and I stayed at the Best Western Hotel Pierre for a pre cruise and post cruise stay a couple of years ago. It's not on the beach and not really in the thick of things but a nice clean hotel that wasn't too expensive. They have a continental breakfast, a pool and a hot tub. It's in a convenient location for the taxi's to get to. Easy access to the freeway so the morning of the cruise it was very quick to the pier.

 

It was only a few blocks to the beach and an easy safe walk to the main road where there were restaurants and other beach hotels. We also took the bus down to the historic part of San Juan. Very easy to get to by the bus. The front desk can tell you what buses to catch.
