GolfMom321 Posted April 1, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2019 I'm cruising later this month and have port stops that will include Orvieto, Capri, and Petra. I'm wondering how useful my rollator will be in these ports. I'm thinking Petra I might do better with 2 walking sticks? If the cobblestones are very rough, I'm not sure how the rollator wheels would do. Curb cuts don't matter, as the rollator is very lightweight, and I can lift it up a curb, or even a few steps. Anyone have any experience that might help me out? Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! We went to Orvieto a couple of years ago from Livorno by (I think) Rome by Taxi and it was in a Mercedes. The trunk was wide enough to fit the scooter (control handle folded and the seat removed). I got around quite well with the scooter even though the town was cobbled-stoned. Interesting town but the Duomo was the big attraction for me. There was an entrance on the left side of the cathedral for handicaps and the scooter. cruisead Posted April 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2019 Petra will be very difficult with a rollator. It’s uneven and quite rough and a lot of dirt walkways. If you go to places like The Royal Tombs or The Monastery using a rollator will be nearly impossible.
