mbmadeline Posted April 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2019 We will be at the cruise port in Dublin in August and need to get to Suffolk Street to meet a tour in a timely manner. What is the best way to pre arrange transportation so we won't be late. We read from some posts that the port is crazy busy and no buses or cabs are actually allowed in the port to take. How do we arrange to get to the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street so we won't be late?
sansterre Posted April 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2019 We had a shuttle into town. Not sure if it was paid for my the city or cruise line, but it was the only way to get out of the port unless you had prearranged a tour that could pick you up at the port (there were a few). We had arranged a private tour but stood amongst farm waste for it to arrive. In the evening, perhaps it was when the commercial port shut down, a few taxi's did come near the ship. Even the locals were embarrassed by the conditions of the port in the Fall of 2018. Hopefully it has improved.
