Help us decide

Recommended Posts

We're not planning on doing a "planned" excursion when we go to St. Thomas this summer. We'd just like to take a bus or taxi to a beach.

We've got it down to Magens or Coki.

We would like to:

-Swim

-Sunbathe

-Snokel

-Relax/Eat/Drink

We have two adults and two kids (6 and 8).

There are SO many conflicting reviews on what to do and which beach is best. I'd love your opinions and why you feel that way.

Coki is home to Coral World and divers feed the fish so the snorkeling at Coki is very good. The fish actually will swim up to you looking to be feed. Please Do NOT feed them dog bones or anything else as it is harmful to the fish  Coki is a party beach but is a nice beach.

Magens is the beach that is featured on all the advertising. It is very nice, and is kid friendly. There is no snorkeling worth much there.

Both beaches have food and drink and rent chairs and some water toys. Both beaches will be crowded if there are ships in port. When you are on a ship you bring the crowds with you.
