The ING Miami Marathon is happening this coming Sunday morning. The Start/Finish line is the American Airlines Arena by the Port

Does anyone know if/how this would affect cruise traffic??

I can't seem to find much info regarding road closures

Thanks

Steve,

Traffic was a mess in the area of the pier. We could see the ship from our cab but we sat in traffic a good 20 minutes as the meter was running.

We left the hotel at 10:45 and arrived at 11:30, driver said should only be about a 20 min ride.

it depends on where you're coming from...if its from downtown, it can be brutal becuase of the way the turn lanes are configured to get to the port access road. If you arrive before 9:00 or after 12:00 you'd probably be fine...there was also a Noon start to a Miami Heat game which bogged things down even further at the 10:30 hour...

Are you driving in yourself? If so you might want to plan on an early arriaval or a bit later to allow everything to clear out...the roads won't be close to the terminal, but they may be backed up...
