Differences between Splendour of the Seas and Marella Discovery

We've sailed three times on Splendour and have booked Discovery for a great itinerary in 2020. Our only experience of Thomson cruises was twice on Spirit,  again for the itinerary (dislike the ship but had lovely cruises because of the itineraries)  Can anybody who has sailed on both ships tell me how the ship experience differs between the lines?  Thanks

no comparison! Discovery &Discovery 2 streets ahead of Spirit , lovely ships.

Discovery is our favourite ship.  As jimphil advises, there is no comparison.  You will already know the layout of the ship but Discovery is AI so no worry about drinks prices or tips.  The staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them and the entertainment team put on some great shows. We found the food very good. Look forward to your cruise.

Love Royal ships and love Marella cruises, so Discovery 1 & 2 are perfect for us, hence cannot wait for my summer cruises on Discovery 2.

We have been on Discovery 1 and 2 and enjoyed both,but bar service and entertainment was better on Discovery 2.

Really hoping to try Explorer 2 sometime, the adults only sounds great.
